About Satpura National Park

Satpura National Park, a hidden gem nestled in the heart of Madhya Pradesh, India. The entire park covers an area of 1,427 square kilometers and is home to a diverse flora and fauna, including tigers, leopards, bison, sloth bears, and numerous species of birds. Satpura National Park is known for its unique topography, which includes deep valleys, steep hills, and thick forests.

One of the main attractions here is the Pachmarhi Biosphere Reserve (UNESCO-designated site). This is home to several rare and endangered animal species, including, the Indian giant squirrel and the flying squirrel. The reserve also includes a variety of medicinal plants and trees, such as the bael.

Flowing through the park, The Denwa River is another popular attraction, where visitors can go boating & birdwatching. The park is also famous for Camping & hiking, with several well-marked trails available for different skill levels.
